  • Stress Eating...help me, please

I find myself eating when I'm not hungry, and I think it's a stress thing; unemployed at the moment and job seeking, money's tight...By the time I ask "Am I hungry" the food is devoured.

Anyone have any strategies/affirmations/meditations/anything! they use to unlearn this behaviour?

At least I ate legal foods...sort of. 8 oz of whipping cream, whipped with half a packet of Splenda. Way too much, but I don't think it'll throw me out of ketosis, as long as I watch my total carbs for the day...

    Re: Stress Eating...help me, please

I drink water and think about why I am eating something. Having to finish the water first makes me take the time to think about it... otherwise, it's usually done before I realize I'm not *really* hungry at all.

I know other people go for walks, or even keep a pic of themselves at the highest weight on their fridge...

Drink water before, during and after your meal. Make sure you don't watch TV while your eating because you will eat more because you are eating aimlessly. Also if stress is bothering you ( I have the same problem ), Close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths before your about to eat and think that food is for nourishment and you should only eat until your satisfied. Good luck !
