  • I´ve been bad

    mmm... daughters b day on friday I was good... no cake but saturday I lost it.. 2 brownies, chocolate milk.. and then I went out for the first time in 14 months... I just had a baby in may so this was the first time in ages... had a mojito and a rum and coke... mmmmm well.... I guess it is back to the drawing board I am restarting today... I had a good breakfast and well we will see if I can get back on the bandwagon.. and hopefully I didn´t gain much.. but let me tell you the brownie was devine ahahhahaha

    Have you got rid of the rest of the cake, etc. (temptations) so you can stay focused? Also this is a good time to do some DANDR reading.

    That "devine" ahahahaha attitude about brownies & other things that get/keep you off task should be locked up

      Another thing to do is to figure out why you fell off. Just remember, we face challenges daily. So figure out what happened and why you reacted that way to it. Then try to develop coping strategies for the next time a similar event occurs.

        I also had a few glasses of vino and a few beers on Saturday that were not the lowest in carbs- so I got the reality check on the scale this morning. I was up about 1.5 lbs.

        That was enough of that and its time to get back to basics!

          haha.. well I know the reason I feel off... I like the taste of sweets... I miss them.. and they were in the house for my dd birthday and I ate some.. it sucks but it is true.. I really love chocolate and I miss it when I don´t have it

            So now you know you need to find some good recipes and make something that is 'legal' for your Atkins phase so you can eat it instead of the cake Take a trip to our Food and recipes forum to see what takes your fancy!

              You know.. I am the same way. I love chocolate. I will tell you what I used to do when I was doing Atkins way back when. I would keep a small bag of Kisses in the freezer and when I needed a chocolate fix I would eat 1-2 frozen kisses and add those carbs to my limit for the day. I took how many were included in a serving and broke it down into carbs per piece. I didnt need them often but I did allow that little indulgence from time to time. Being frozen they lasted longer as they had to melt and it was divine.

              I also found a low carb diet hot chocolate with only 4 carbs. On day 2 or 3 of induction this week I had a terrible craving for chocolate. I didn't fall off the wagon too far I had a diet hot chocolate with whip cream. It satisfied my craving and I have not had one since.

              I am not saying do these things.. I am just giving you my experience.
