I have lost a total of 25 pounds, 15 on Atkins and 10 before Atkins. I do not notice it at all, I dont feel it in my clothes or anywhere. Please help me understand.

Yes, you can see my pics on the before and after forum. I feel that im stuck. My hubby says that i need to loose more in order for me to notice...i have so much to loose and thats why i cant notice it, for the first time i think hes right

I saw your pictures and I see the difference. Do you not see it when you look at them, or just not when you look in a mirror?
I didn't feel like I looked any different when I was 50lbs down, clothes were still fitting the same I thought even. It's true, you don't pick where you lose the weight from (for example, I swear my watch has gotten looser in the past 2 weeks, and that's a retarded place and not somewhere I need to lose weight!!) and sometimes it's places you wouldn't notice (neck, ankles, wrists, etc).
However, there's also the fact that you could be like me, and look at yourself in a mirror (even being 140lbs lighter) and see yourself as looking the same... that's a completely different situation I'm sure you realize.
What I did was literally, put highest weight pic next to smaller me pic, and have them near... so if I feel like I still look the same as I did before, I have that obvious proof for myself that I don't. It is *much* harder to see a difference when you have a lot to lose.27/f/5'10"

Well, I don't know about you but first I did not notice a difference in my clothes. My clothes still fit...but finally at about now (20 pounds) I did notice. I realized that when I wore the same clothes before, I had been stuffing myself into them so they were tight...as I lost weight, they fit me perfectly, making me think my clothes still fit, when really they were initially kinda too tight. Does that make sense?
You can notice on your pics. You seem to be standing in the same place in the before and during. In the before you cannot see both sides of the doorway because your midsection is blocking it but in the second pic you can see both sides of the doorway behind you. So you are definitely getting slimmer in the midsection!36/f

My highest weight was higher than yours, but my atkins start is about the same and at 195 I wasn't feeling it either. i rememebr getting frustrated. Now I am down to 162 and I'm living proof is does keep going and change. Stay true to yourself, you'll get there. When I got frustrated it helped to jsut focus on keeping my food honest and STOP weighing. Try this. Take some string and a permanent marker. Cut off strips of the string, and tag them with a label. Label each one "right arm" "left arm" "waist" Left leg" etc. basically as many places as you want to measure. Then start marking them today, and check about once a week or two weeks. Not more frequently than that. Sometimes we lose pounds and not inches and sometimes inches and not pounds. So either way, you can track weight loss and inches loss.

sometimes it is inches, sometimes it is clothes that fit better, sometimes it is others noticing it, sometimes it is all the new energy you gained, sometimes it is the scale.
