  • DONER KEBAB & INDUCTION

I keep finding the recipie to be egg meat olive oil and sometimes tomato. On the other hand, people are writing that it has bread in it.

I just looked for recipes for doner kebab (gyros in USA) and found just as you said - it looks Atkins-friendly if made to a traditional recipe.
here is a link to an explanation of what it should contain and how to make it. It looks fairly easy to make!

But I think the idea of it containing non-legal fillers is probably put forward because so many of the processed foods sold in fast food outlets such as kebab houses do have stuff added to keep the price down. Sort of like how most sausages in UK have loads of breadcrumbs etc in them.

To be sure you would need to ask the owners/chefs if they make their own and if so what is in it or if they buy it ready made can you see the nutrition label to check the ingredients.

I am sorry I dont eat it now (used to have it every week 30 years ago) since I saw a TV expose of how they were being made in very unhygienic conditions in the 70's in UK. So I cant say how it would affect anyone on induction
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Well it made me crave sugar like a maniac around half an hour after eating it. I also came out of lypolisis. Gosh! That was a risk which wasnt worth taking! Im sticking to home made freshly cooked food from now on!
