  • One Week Down...

I'm nearly one week into induction---I've lost 6lbs.

I'm pretty sure I'll do induction for a few extra weeks as I have a bit of weight to lose.

I'm feeling pretty good---never had headaches or anything for the first week. I was on this lifestyle a few years ago so maybe that helped.

Anyways, once again I'm glad to have this site so I can post my thoughts and distract myself from carbs.

    What a great start, Lynsey

Don't stay on induction too long as you will need time to climb the OWL ladder before you reach goal!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Oh I won't stay on too long. Definitely just 3, maybe 4 weeks and then OWL.

Down 7lbs for the first week!

              Re: One Week Down...

I'm staying off the scale for two weeks. I remember from a few years back that I got a little discouraged because I didn't lose as fast. Didn't go off the diet but just felt bad about it. I don't want that feeling again.

I'll base it on how my clothes feel instead for the next two weeks. Thanks again for all the encouragement.

Even if you are avoiding the scale on a day to day basis do make sure that you do weigh after your first 14 days just so you know how much weight you lost in that time. This will allow you to check your progress on the chart in DANDR and assess your metabolic resistance to weightloss.
