2nd week not so good

  • 2nd week not so good

    Well.. I lost 8 lbs in the first week. But since then.. I am not loosing any weight. I started the second week at 179 and I am only 178.5 now with only 1 day left on induction. I may redo the second week of induction since I am almost were I was after the 1st week. I did have some low carb chocolate torte this week. Maybe that slowed me down. I have been checking my ketones and I am still in the high range even after having the torte a few hours later and the day after.

    Has anyone else had a really good 1st week and the second one very slow?

    weight stall happens to most people so don't worry about it. Obviously mostly everyone loses the first week which could be mainly water weight. I actually stopped losing on the third week, then started losing again on the 4th. Everyone is different, don't let that stop you from your goal. Start exercising little by little as well. Your body needs to adjust, this won't be so fast. Good luck.

      Congrats, you lost 8 pounds.

      You might not lose weight everyday, or every week. What you are looking for is an overall downward trend. there is a sticky above called "Weight Loss Isn't Linear" that explains it better.

        Congrats on your 8lb loss! I had no loss my second week also and it has been pretty slow since. However, I am losing inches(over 10 so far). So hang in there! This is the best WOE!

          Well done

          8.5 pounds out of a total hoped-for loss of 47 pounds is about 18%!! So you ahve done really excellently - the equivalent of someone with 100 pounds to lose having lost 18 pounds!!

          No need to do another week of induction eating unless you want to - move on to OWL and start finding your CCLL.
