    hi there!

    i have a question regading those magical stix.

    everytime i thought that i had too many carbs, or hidden sugars in my food, my stix are still purple.
    plus, i am not loosing anything on the scale eventhough i had the stix dark purple since day 2 od induction.

    any advice? am i doing this right? is the purple a sign of burning fat for sure, or is this not a correct guide?

    You might have to watch those hidden sugars and carbs. When I did my first failed attempt at induction ( I gave up after 2 days) my ketosticks were purple for 3 days even though I had cookies on each of those three. I think it took a while for my body to revert back to carb burning instead of fat burning.

    Are you losing inches? These past 2 1/2 weeks my scale has not budged much (I had a breakthrough today!) but my ketosticks are still purple and I'm losing inches from my stomach and thighs (and who knows where else!)

      the sticks can turn purple from burning your fat or the fat you are eating so sometimes when you are eating very high fat food they are purple but you aren“t burning your own fat

        Yes, I know from research that the sticks can turn purple after you have eaten high fat food which is why you should not test straight after eating. If you are not losing weight then it suggests that those hidden sugars etc. are hindering your efforts.

            When I am loosing another way that I can tell is I get that nasty taste in my mouth and that is another way for me to know I am loosing without the sticks
