  • HUGE appetite!!!

    I am rerere....starting induction and my appetite is enormous. Yesterday I ate a tremendous quantity of steak, shrimp, chicken, couple of eggs, 1 1/2 cups salad, bit of cheese--all legal things. But it seems like I just couldn't get satisfied. Today I am trying to eat some protein with fat every few hours to see if that helps. So far I am still starving. And yes, I'm drinking my water.

    Anyone else in the same boat as me?
    What quantities do/did you all eat during induction. (please don't answer until satisfied ) I would love to know actual quantities.

    since I started workingout, my appetie has increased also and now I have headaches and craving sweets.

      The first 3 days of induction, I eat constantly, I actually usually refuse to track this time of my life... hmm, let me see if I actually tracked this properly recently.

      Okay, this doesn't leave this thread. My first day back on induction, this is what I ate:
      Pork rinds (most of a bag), a can of tuna, 2T blue cheese dressing, 5T mayonnaise, half an avocado, half a tomato, 1T oil & vinegar, 10oz of 90/10 ground beef, 8oz of salmon, and half a cup of heavy cream. Oh, I also drank my 4 litres of water...

        Thanks for giving me a list Lyssie. My first couple of days is looking like that! When I have gone through induction in the past, I don't remember being this crazy hungry. Ugh, I hope it's get better soon.

          By the way I am new here but have done Atkins several (10) years ago and lost quite a bit of weight (+- 30lbs) but put it all plus more back on, so I am starting fresh. My overall goal is to be below 200lbs and maintain it. I am currently 255 (morning weight). I have also been diagnosed as pre-diabetic and my blood sugar has been running 170-200 so I really need to get that back under control. I was on metformin a couple of years ago but quit taking it. Anyway after years of abuse my body is telling me to get my act together. I am a 41yo male and about 6'0 tall and fairly heavily muscled yet alot of it has gotten really flabby. .
          anyway enough about me. I just wanted to post my food log so maybe someone could look it over and offer feedback.

            No problem, LeeAnn. Like I said - it happens every time I start induction... i fight cravings with eating fatty, legal foods, so end up eating a lot more... It lasted 3 days this time... but now I'm blesse with the appetite suppression.
