  • Back On Atkins Induction

been on indiction for well over 1 and half months, lost about 1.5 stone, never really came off but have been having alchohol nearly every 7 days, only one beer or maybe 2 or 3 or once 4 at most. this seemed to at first put 2 pounds striaght on me, and take a week to get back on track, but as time went on, it doesnt really affect the wieght loss, i want to go back on strict induction, i know i shouldnt being near goal, but i want to lose another 1.5 stone to be around 12 stone,

this is the confusing bit, i started on some scales which now say im 13 st 4 where the new scales i bought say im 12 st 9 this is a lot of difference and the new ones are the ones im using as they are more reliable and do the water and fat also.

so on these scales i would like to get down to 11.5 which would prob make me around 12 st on the other ones.

i know im too big to be 12.8 but i think im between the different wieghts on the scales.

this is what i plan to eat

break, 1 egg fried small peices of well grilled bacon

    lunch sausage and chicken

dinner salmon and mushed pees with garlic and chilli

thats mostly it, apart from snacks of cheese no more than 25g and little bit of bacon chilli sauce exrtra chicken crab sticks etc

i drink still water through the day and sparkling water or SODA water.

is soda water ok, sometimes my wieght has slowed down, was losing one pound a day to start with untill got to stone down.

would like to speed things back up, and stay on induction, untill im near the last half stone.

was doing lot of exercise to begin also, now not really doing much, but wasnt losing too much wieght half way through when exercise was increased

let us know what you think

    start weight 14.7
    weight 12st 8
    target 11.5

    Re: Back On Atkins Induction

Firstly, welcome to our ADBB family I guess from your screen name that you are another Brit - good to have you aboard

I think going back on induciton for a long time would not be a good idea - better to just do induction till you are back in ketosis then start climbing the OWL ladder so that when you do reach your goal weight you will have an idea of how many carbs you can to eat and still maintain your weight as well as finding out if any foods affect your blood sugar and will need to be avoided or restricted in the future.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

      Re: Back On Atkins Induction

Peas are not induction legal. Too starchy.
Is soda water sweetened. If so I would avoid it. Plain water is best.

You should think about starting OWL You want this weight to stay off, right?

      Good luck.
