  • FluffyGirl is still around and kicking

    Hey board

Just want to let you that I am doing well. I was off the wagon with life problems but i'm doing well.

I have a week before I got out ot town for Thanksgiving, I don't know how i'm going to deal with that. I'm thinking I may have to eat a few carbs, not sure yet.

How do you guys plan on doing Thanksgiving?

Hi Fluffygirl wonderful that you are still there.
About thanksgiving I am in Canada and we had ours a month ago. I just eat plenty from items that are legal and try to make plenty of legal treats.
There will probably be plenty of post about thanksgiving over the next week so come back and check them out.

Re: FluffyGirl is still around and kicking

Hi fluffy. Last year I was on Atkins at Thanksgiving (got lucky and missed it entirely this year cause I was in the states for our holiday and here when they have theirs..phew), and I brought my own food with me to my inlaws, just for me. It created such a headache, noone gets why you cant have "just one day", but just tell yourself they dont get it if that happens. I even made a crustless induction friendly pumpkin pie with whipped cream and brought a piece for me. Had some roasted chicken (told myself it was just a baby turkey...lol), vegetables, and vegetable crisps with meat and some cheese while people were snacking on all that evil stuff that is put in bowls on tables !! LOL

It can be done, and I am sure you can do it. Chin up

I'm substituting where I can and avoiding what I can't substitute as best as I can.
