  • Lost 8lbs in one week!

    I am feeling quite pleased with myself this morning. In 7 days I have managed to lose a whopping 8lbs!

    I have only officially been following the Atkins induction strictly for the last 3 days but at the start of the week I did make a conscious effort to cut down on the carb filled foods which I knew about at the time.

    My eyes have been really opened to find that I can't just eat low fat foods and a big plate of vegetables and expect to lose weight anymore. I've never once tried a diet in my whole life because I hate the feeling of being hungry. I just try and have a moderate lifestyle, which didn't work obviously!

    The good news is that even on the Atkins induction I do not feel at all hungry. My energy levels feel great too and I am even able to face going to the gym again after work.

    I've reached my first weight goal of 240lbs (see sig below) which is a great motivation to me. OK the next goal might be a little harder to reach but I owe it to myself to keep this up. Hopefully 2009 will see a new more streamlined me!

    Isn't it great? Losing weight and never being hungry! Congrats on the fantastic weight loss, keep up the good work

      I am a guy too 6", 200lbs, my goal is 170 lbs,,,, I also lost 4 lbs in two weeks, and I know what you mean by "I dont feel hungry"............. god I am feeling much better,,,,,,,
      I guess I will continue my induction...........

        Yeah I am amazed that I don't feel more hungry. Today I got a bit more experiemental and made cauliflower cheese following a recipe in a Atkins book I have. Funnily enough with the ingredents it ends up more like a cauliflower omelette! It even had bacon in it too, bacon and eggs! I can't get away from them now. Still I am not complaining it was quite tasty.

        I could only have a small portion of about 7g carbs worth as with the onion and garlic it all started to add up. Normally I would have eaten twice that much and still felt hungry. What a difference having a low carb diet makes!!!
