  • Holy withdrawal symptoms!

Okay, so I wasn't expecting this bad of symptoms, but wow. Day one is almost over and I have the worst headache ever! Plus, I am so tired I can barely stay awake.

I was fairly hungry all day today but I stayed clean all day and had turkey breast to snack on when the munchies hit. One day down and hoping that these symptoms get better! :confused

    Yep...Induction Flu sucks...lol
Day 1 of Induction was Day 1 of TOM for me, and on Day 7 I was still suffering. :yikes I really questioned Atkins...but I hung in there and I felt back to my normal self at the end of the two weeks.

In a weird way, I felt Induction Flu was my penance for having wantonly eaten whatever I wanted for the last 20 years...a trial by fire of sorts on the road to a new way of eating and a new body.

In a month or two you'll hardly think about it at all. :hug

Yeah, I hear that! I know that things will get better, I guess I just thought I wouldn't really have withdrawal (I don't know why I thought that). I just figured I would be strong enough to not let the symptoms bother me...but they are quite noticable!

I know things will get better and I am looking forward to getting use to this WOE!

I only ever drank one cup of coffee in the morning...once in a blue moon I'd have one in the afternoon, so most of my withdrawal was sugar related. It doesn't take long to see the benefits of doing without the sugar, and upping water consumption though. My skin cleared up within the first month and I threw away my adult acne medication!! It was like a flippin' miracle! For the last year I've had maybe 3 or 4 small blemishes.
My snoring gradually faded away and I am sure that had to do with a combo of weight loss, less dairy, and again, the water I was drinking.

All in all, a few days of headache for clear skin and 40+ pounds gone is a pretty fair tradeoff! :yes

            Ohhh...withdrawal....

I totally forgot about this aspect of getting rid of things you're used to. I'm on my second day of the induction, and after being awake for over 20 hours yesterday, I thought I'd get a good sleep....

Wrongo. I was woken up halfway through my sleep cycle with a raging headache. Luckily Advil and a Hot Bath were able to ease this off so I could go back to bed. And happily woke up refreshed.

I may only be on day 2, but I had a spring in my step when I headed out the door to work tonight, so I'm happy that *something* worked! Usually if I'd had a headache interrupt sleep, I'd be a zombie for the next 24 hours...
