  • Transition to Atkins??

Hello Everyone! I am pretty new to this bored (on/off) and haven't done Atkins for over 1.5yrs or so. I tried Medifast the last month and lost weight but I am so bored with packaged meals. I only have about 12 lbs to lose.

Do you think I will instantly gain weight when I the transition to higher fats and calories on Atkins?

I am going to return to my regular 4-5mile jogs that I did 5 days a week pre-Medifast.

    Any thoughts/ideas are greatly appreciated.

You might find you do add some pounds when you start induction and eat 'real' foods again after the packaged stuff, so it would be better not to weigh yourself during your first 14 days to avoid being upset if it does happen.

Make sure you take measurements as well to see if you lose inches instead of pounds to keep you reassured.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I wouldn't worry about initial weight gain if you get any, which you may not. You will be so happy you made the switch. Your tummy will be full with yummy foods, you will have tons of energy and your health will improve. And on top of all of that you will lose weight! If not the first week, but soon after.
