  • Vegetables Induction

    Good day

I would like to know how the different foods are classified.
Let me try to explain what I mean.
The vegetables allowed during Induction are classified in two lists: in the first one we have the vegetables that we can have two to three cups per day such as alfalfa sprouts, mushrooms, etc. The second list we find artichoke, celery root, pumpkin, etc.
I have downloaded the Nutritional Spreadsheet and I do not know where to place an item like the avocado, the spreadsheet says Induction, but does it go in the first ( 2-3 cups allowed) or second list (veges that we can take only 1 cup)
My question is what is the determination factor that classifies a vegetable in the first or the second list?

    Thank you

    Re: Vegetables Induction

The avocado is added as one of the 'special category' foods, so is allowed on induction although it does not appear on either of the lists.

    Special Category Foods
To add variety, each day you can also eat ten to twenty olives, half a small avocado, one ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
