I've just reached the end of my 14 day induction, i weighed myself and found that i've only lost 6 lbs in the 2 weeks. Is this normal? I've been following the plan exactly. Should i stay on induction for a while longer?

    Hi
Welcome to our international ADBB family

It is great to have another UK member - and from my own neck of the woods too

How much weight in total are you hoping to lose? A loss of between 5% and 10% of this is thought to be 'normal'. For someone needing to shed 30 pounds a loss of 6 pounds in the first 2 weeks would represent 20% lost, whereas for someone with 100 pounds to lose, 6 pounds would be 6% so still considered 'normal'.

You can look at the chart in DANDR to work out what sort of metabolic resistance to weightloss your 6 pounds implies.

Only those who have a high resistance to losing weight need to consider staying on induction longer than the first 14 days.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Hi, well done on your loss !!

I think it really depends on how much you have to lose too. Also how physical you are, if you arent doing any exercise you should try to add some into your lifestyle

Looking at your "ticker" it looks like you want to lose 32#. You've done fantastic & should celebrate a 6# loss!!! Have you taken your measurements? If not please do so you can keep track of inches lost!

        Good luck on your journey!

I didn't notice your ticker, SammiLou!

So your 6 pounds lost represents over 18.5% of your total hoped-for loss, well done you
