day 10 of induction, enjoying every bit of atkins. I'd like to ask about diet soda? can you drink a can of diet soda? (diet rite) uses slenda. how many carbs are in a can of diet soda?

What does it say on the box? You should count a carb for every serving of sweetener and there are probably two servings in a can. Is it OK to drink it? Sweeteners may be a staller for some so watch out. And remember to drink lost of clean water and not rely on sodas for hydration.Startdate: November 18, 2007. Female 5'2"

I drink diet right since it has splenda.
I like the tangerine flavor. White grape is ok, the cola is not the best.
And I drink a ton of water. Trying to stay away from aspartame, which is tough. It doesn't seem to stall me, but I just don't like the long term effects.
I heard on the news yesterday that Coke has developed a Stevia sweetened diet soda, now if they can get the FDA to approve it as a sweetener, they will begin to produce it. They have 4 flavors, but the story didn't say what they were."I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

I primarily drink water....aside from my electrolyte drink (I drink that once in a while because I work out pretty heavily). I have had a decaf. coffee (black - 1 every other month)...but really I only water.
Wow, someone is actually venturing out and making a diet drink that contains Stevia....amazing...hopefully these companies are beginning to wake up.
I found a terrific electrolyte drink that is only sweetened with stevia and doesn't have the high sodium content other electrolyte drinks have.

Thanks, I'll be on the look out for that...I drink 64oz. +8oz for every 25lbs i want to lose. so i'm doing about 90oz daily. But, sometimes it would be nice to have something different and still stay under my 20g limit.RE-Start-9-23-09
