Hello all, I am now 15 days into the atkins program and have lost 15.5 pounds! I am very happy with my results thus far and will continue to strive for my goal. I'm not seeing it much in the mirror yet, but am hoping for some visual results soon. I decided that I also will remain on extended induction until I have lost a more significant amount of weight. One of the big things I am worried about coming up though is Christmas. Does anyone have any suggestions on different things I could have for Christmas, so it's not just turkey -_-. Thanks just let me know and I'll keep doing my best...

Re: 15.5 pounds lost in 2 weeks
good job! That's al you can do....do your best!
One thing to consider...move up the OWL rung. The first one is only more veggies and your body will be able to deal with the veggies; which means more weight loss and find control over what foods you will be able to handle as you lose the weight.~Lisa~

Wow! Excellent job on the weight loss. I have lost 30 pounds since September and have only seen a little difference in the mirror.
Suggestion for Christmas, dessert-wise, perhaps some sort of crustless pumpkin pie? I'm pretty sure there are some induction-friendly recipes. And there's always cheesecakes.

Re: 15.5 pounds lost in 2 weeks
Way to go!
Look up the cauliflower casserole (also called feaux hasbrown casserole) it's fabulous and induction friendly. My Family DEVOURS it. Also a great idea is some dip and prok rinds. I put it out at thanksgiving and my family has NEVER had a pork rind present at a family event. in fact I am pretty sure none of them have even ever bought them. They were the first thing to go, before ALL the chips and even the chili and cheese dip! That way i don't feel left out of the nibbling. I made a almond crusted pumpkin cheesecake for thanksgiving and it has been requested for Christmas now. But it's not induction friendly. Go to the recipe archives and bring dishes along!sigpicErika: 32y/oF, 5'8" start Atkins 6/22/08 201.6

Re: 15.5 pounds lost in 2 weeks
Congrats on your success! I would agree with Lisa and suggest you at least move up to rung 1 so you can add more veggies in everyday.
Here's a link to Linda's Low Carb Recipes. There are a ton of ideas there. The ones maked with * are Induction-friendly.
Keep up the good work. Make sure to get as much exercise in as possible. That will accelerate your weightloss.
