    Re: I have Question

There's a sticky in one of the forums giving all the info you're asking for. Here's the link:

I'd say you should first read the book. On the other hand, my guess is that you're not in the US/UK, so finding a copy might be a bit difficult (it certainly was for me). Check that sticky and ask if you have more questions.

      Re: I have Question

You really need to read the book to get properly "acquainted" with this WOE. There are lots of stickys around the board that will help, but the book I think is paramount to success.

      Good luck!

        Re: I have Question

gail74, the link Georgiana gave you is GREAT! We have all been in your shoes before and just wanted to get started as soon as possible. As others have suggested you should order a copy of DANDR 2002 or see if there is one you can check out from your local library. In the meantime, the Atkins Low Carb Dieting - FAQ's - Atkins Diet section has a thread for the Rules of Induction and a thread for the foods you can eat on Induction. It will ultimately be to your benefit and success to read DANDR 2002.

If you have any questions along the way please ask. Good luck!

          Re: I have Question

Hi there, I also agree with the others about reading the book, but I will give you an idea of what I usually eat in a day.
Breakfast I have an omlette with cheese, onions, bacon, tomatoes, and salsa. Lunch I usually have a couple hard boiled eggs, and turkey, cream cheese wrapped in lettuce. Dinner is usually a pork chop or two, or a roasted chicken with a yummie veggie like Broccoli/cauliflower with butter! Snacks consist of celery stalks with bleu cheese, a slice of cheese, or a couple slices of meat. I also have a dessert of sugar free jello and whipping cream. Hope that give you an idea of a typical Atkins Day!!
I know you will do great!

              Re: I have Question

gail74, strawberries are not allowed until later when you get to OWL (ongoing weightloss). I think it's rung 4 so since you love them use that as a motivator to stay on plan and get to rung 4. That will be about 6 weeks or so down the road.

For the best results follow Dr. Atkins' plan to the best of your ability .

                Re: I have Question

I also love coffee, I am a starbucks junkie! I now have changed my regular Mocha with whip to a decaf house coffee with Sugar Free Syrup (like sf caramel or sf hazelnut) and 1/2 inch steamed cream. It is Yum! I get a couple of those a day with no effect to my weight loss. Also please don't get the strawberries!! yes I am yelling! You must read Dr. Atkins book to have the whole list of acceptable foods in induction. And then you will watch the pounds go away and away and away. But put down the fruit and and enjoy some cheese!!!
