  • Back to Induction

Well, I kind if swayed a bit since the holidays and put on about 8 lbs so the wife and I are restarting induction. The one thing I need to work on is getting the water levels up.

      You were on OWL right?

How badly did you fall off? Were you eating "bad" things or were you just eating over your CCLL?

If you were eating over your CCLL, see if you are still in ketosis. If you are not, then drop to Induction for a few days until you regain ketosis and pick up where you left off on OWL.

Unfortunately I never really followed the levels properly nor ever new my CCL.
I was not eating badly, but I was having too much real peanut butter on celery every day and was eating some low carb tortillas. What ever it was was enout to gain 8 lbs since Thanksgiving, so I thought I would start over.

Okay, are you still in ketosis? If you are, you can just drop the peanut butter and the low carb tortillas and see what happens.

IF you aren't in ketosis, then just do Induction until you regain ketosis and move back into OWL---and follow the OWL rules this time. Everything is added back in a specific order with the foods that have the least potential to cause problems being introduced first. So there is a rhyme and reason to the carb ladder.

I will have to get some testing strips and check.

Good for you getting control of your gain and realizing you were overeating your Atkins. you'd be surprised how many folk jump in here claiming it was Atkins program not them that stopped working correctly.

yep we never repeat never need to do a complete 14 day induction return nor should we as we need to learn how to handle the foods that will be part of our WOL from now on and practice with the deep ketosis control of appetite and craving to know when a food messes with us so we are not like the perpetual diets doing the SLimfast meal in a can dieting gaining it back dieting.

There was a real purpose in Dr Atkins plan for his program even if many news folk don't get it.
