First off - **** EVERYONE! So as the topic suggests... im a long time luker and i have been lurking around all over the forums for about 2 months and been researching about the atkins diet myself and so far i like the way it works and i understand how it works ... so on 01/06/09 will be my 1st day on induction phase but i plan on staying on induction until i meet my weight loss goal. At the moment i am 260lbs, 6ft tall and my main goal is to get to 200 by september of this year ... i go to the gym all the time but now im actually going to start eating healthy as well ... but even i have a few problems im trying to bypass and conquer ... making induction food that is easy to make by me and the other thing is i do not eat beef or pork, so a bunch of the induction receipes become useless to me
but i do eat chicken and the allowed seafood on what is allowed and not allowed ... yummy fish! hopefully all goes well and i can meet my goal haha

Re: long time luker - 1st time inductee
Hi! I hope in your lurking, you've found Linda's recipe website, but just in case you haven't:
Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Main Dish Recipes
She has sections just for Chicken & Turkey and another section for Seafood, and also Meatless Recipes. You won't have to sift through the beef and pork sections at all. She also has photo's of each dish prepared, and there is an "*" next to induction level recipes.
You never need to be bored with your menu, unless you want to be!

Re: long time luker - 1st time inductee
Welcome to the board! It sounds like you are off to a good start with the exercise, so maybe you would like to join some of the challenges here to help keep you motivated.
Have you read the book? It's your best source of information on the diet and we recommend that everyone read it.
You shouldn't have any trouble reaching your goal by September, even if you move up the rungs. Good luck!
