  • keotosis question

I think due to my hypothyroidism it is very hard for my body to get to the stage of keotosis - previously had to cut out ALL carbs during induction and then eat cream cheese. But thanks to this board tried the 'fat fast' and my body is in keotosis only after 3 days.

My question now is: do I start the 14 days of induction - no nuts, milk products, etc. - or do I just go onto the regular Atkins diet?

    Re: ketosis question

If you are coming off the fat fast, you need to go on very strict induction. If you have read how to do the fat fast safely, and are truly metabolically resistant, you will have read how you might have to switch back and forth between the fat fast and induction to lose weight.

The fat fast can be dangerous if you are not truly metabolically resistant, so be careful. Please read the chapter before imbarking on this journey.
