Re: Alcohol
You answered you own question..alcohol is not allowed durning induction. The carb count isn't what matter it matters if it is on the list or not!!Originally posted by kgold1I know alcohol is totally not allowed during induction.. As far as drinks I would stick with water but Diet Rite is allowed.Valerie - f 4' 11"

Yopu have to wait till the alcohol rung..and when you get there just be careful of mixes, check the carb counts don't just assume they're low carb. Tonic water is an often mistaken low carb mix, it actually has the exact same amount of sugar as soda. Also read the labels of low carb coolers, and flavoured liqours, Smirnoff's came out with a new cooler here that contains fructose, and I know that Malibu flavoured rums contain liquers not just flavours. Liquers definately have sugar in them.
When you get there...regular rum, vodka, tequila, rye, whiskey etc are good with diet drinks (crystal lite has some aweome flavors for vodka if you're not stalled by the sweetener). Low carb beers here (canada) are 2.5g per bottle, probably the same there...
Keep in mind it is NOT the carb count that keeps things off the induction list. You must go thru the rungs of OWL to guage your bodies reaction to them...the rungs are a VERY important step in this WOL and I recommend you wait. A 14 day clean induction is just as important...Jen, 39, F

Don't drink ...
Your body burns off alcohol before it starts on anything else.....
Its just not worth it whilst your on induction.
