  • 2nd weight in

Well today is day 14 of my induction so I did my second weigh in. After one week I had lost 4 pounds and this week nothing I have been keeping track of my measurements and I am down about 2 inches on my waist but I haven't really noticed a difference in the way my clothes are fitting. I have been reading the board everyday so I know it's common not to lose pounds but to lose inches but still a little disappointed. I have been going to the gym about 3-4 times a week and getting in good cardio workouts, I run a mile, briskly walk half a mile to a mile and then bike 4 miles...by the time I finish that I am drenched in sweat!! Then depending on the day I either do legs, arms, or just abs. I am thinking about also getting a personal trainer because although I know a lot about the proper workouts to do, sometimes my form isn't right and I know without the correct form you are not getting the most out of a workout. Just thought I'd share my progess. I think my problem this week is that I didn't eat as many veggies as I did the first week and I also bought a pack of bologna and ate a few slices and perhaps it's too high in nitrates?? I also think I need to eat more at breakfast as some days I've been skipping it. So although I'm a little down about no change on the scale I suppose 4 pounds over 2 weeks is still an okay loss. And also, I've been drinking around 80oz of water daily.

Hey! You will ALWAYS have to remember that you have little to lose so you will lose slowly! 2 inches in the waist it GREAT! Sounds like you are doing everything right! Even building muscle which you know weighs more than our freind fat so that could be why you did not see the scale budge and you body may simply be adjusting or TOM may be comming....so many possibilites, but keep up with your routine! You should hit goal soon! As far as a trainer....I absoultely recommend one! I had one for a year that I saw twice a week (one day for upper body and the other for lower) it was awesome, but very expensive and very worth it. It is soooo critical to have the proper formation down, it can be the difference between decent results and great results! Plus, they PUSSSSSSSSH you like crazy!

you're building muscle in your legs. When I was living at my parents house, they had this road bike put on one of those things that makes it stationary, and I started riding it every night. I would either stay the same weight or gain weight pretty much weekly. In reality, I was losing about 1-2 pounds of fat, and gaining 1-2 pounds of muscle- so I was getting smaller, and losing inches, but the scale was going up.

I hope that's what it is!!! I'm def going to stick with this WOE and see where it leads me. Like I always tell other people the weight didn't come on overnight so it's not going to come off that quickly either!! Someone told me about a friend of theirs the other day who was on a diet and when someone asked her if she wanted something that wasn't on her diet she would reply by saying "I've had it before, I know what it tastes like and I'll have it again, just not today" I thought that was a great saying
