Before getting started, I strongly suggest you read Dr. ATkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 ed.
There are too many myths and lies about how to do Atkins that it is IMPERATIVE you do it the right way. Believe me, I've seen people doing "Atkins" by just eating eggs and bacon or by eating no carbs. That's not Atkins.
I have to agree with not2late. I did alot of research online and thought that I knew what Atkins was all about and so I started Induction and then I found this board. The first thing I was advised to do by the good people here was read the book (DANDR2002). I thought to myself how is a book going to help me, I just need my questions answered!
Two days into Atkins I stopped by my library on the way home and checked the book out and read it. I now understand why it is important to read it. It clearly goes over ech step along the way and takes the guess work out of it. Once you read that check out Fitday.com to help you keep track of what your eating and if it falls under the correct percentages for the phase you are starting out at.
