  • A question for the ladies...

I am almost posotive that in DANDR I read that being on your "monthly visit" while on induction (or maybe any phase) can cause you to stall or can slow the weight loss process? Am I remembering this correctly?

If so, does this mean after my "monthly visit" is over a few pounds will more than likely shed away that I was retaining?

I am already very satisfied with the results so far but it sure would be nice to get that extra boost!!!

Thanks for your respoces in advance!

    Hi there

Yes, this is the case for a lot of women on Atkins - and not just in the induction phase. I gain 2-3lbs every time, so I don't worry because I know it is fluid retention.

There is quite a bit more discussion on this sort of thing in the Women's Forum which you can as the moderator Bren to join - you also need to have 'f' or 'female' in your signature. To find Bren and pm her go to members list along the top menu.

    I like your signature quote!

it really depends on the person (obviously, such as everything does) - however in my own experience (not necisarily on atkins - as i don't know yet since I've only just started atkins, but while losing weight in the past) - I won't know until next week if this is the same on atkins, i assume it will be - but I know that for me, while on other weight loss plans in the past that I always weigh more the week of TOM and as soon as he's gone - I usually lose about 2 extra pounds (again, this is just my own experience).
