  • Totally screwed up Induction

I am so ashamed of myself...

I messed up my induction phase and I was doing so well.

Went to a concert Saturday night and had some beer, then I had a few bites of my son's birthday cake, then had Mexican food with my husband.

    I feel so icky now.

Is it ok to jump right back into to 20g of carbs right away?

    Absolutely.

It's amazing what a slippery slope it is, isn't it?

One bite really can be the proverbial kiss of death. It always is for me.

It happens to the best of us. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, forgive yourself, and jump right back in. - I'm going to

I did not bring any protein from a meat source today. I didn;t have time to make breakfast and pack a lunch.

So, I brought a big herb salad with portabella mushrooms that I am going to graze on throughout the day.

I really hate myself right now.

It's bad enough having low self-esteem because of the excess pounds, now I went and screwed it all up.

Weight loss is so emotionally draining.

It is all in the past. Leave it behind you. Move forward. Yes back to 20 carbs (most of them from veggies) plenty of water and a good portion of fun. And off you go.

Well, if you're anything like me, failing to plan is planning to fail. Do not do what you did to yourself today again. Make time for breakfast and make time to plan a good lunch for yourself for tomorrow.

Breakfast does not have to be a huge morning ordeal. Eat leftovers from dinner the previous night. Pick up a microwave egg pan and zap eggs in 1 minute 30 seconds. Hard boil some eggs tonight and bring them with you. There's a million things you can do to make this easier on yourself- so do them!

The negativity is soul-sucking, my friend. Leave it at the door. It doesn't do you any good and it's not going to do anything other than hold you back. It's good to be frustrated and angry that you let it happen, but it should turn into something empowering. Life kicks us in the enough without our helping it. . Munch on your salad today and plan for tomorrow. You're worth it!

That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. You brought a tear to my eye.
            Thank you.
