  • Another Two Week Induction?????

    Hi all!! Today is day 14 of my induction. My starting weight was 131.0 and as of this morning I weighed 123.2, a loss of 7.8 pounds. To keep things in perspective I only want to loose a total of 26 pounds to get to my target weight of 105. So I have lost 30% of my goal.

    I was on my "monthly girl cycle thingy" the entire second week of induction and I have a hard time staying on track on the weekends. I dont cheat but I am not as planned out and scheduled as I am during the week.


    I have sprained/fractured (Going to the doctor today) my ankle while excersizing on day one of the second week of induction which has kept me from being able to excerisize the second week. I lost all that weight in the first week and only one pound last week. I feel as though the above factors kept me from loosing more the second week and with me not knowing when I will be able to work out on my ankle again I dont feel it would be smart to move up to OWL.

    I have no problems continuing my diet as I have been for the past two weeks so I feel another two week induction would be good for me. I was just looking for a few oppinions here or anyone who can offer advise.

    Congrats on your loss. Dr. Atkins wrote that the only people who may benefit from staying on Induction longer than 14 days are those people with high metabolic resistance to weight loss (which you don't have considering your 30% loss) because staying on Induction may correct the metabolic imbalances that hinder weight loss.

    Moving to OWL would be better, imo.

      Your oppion is exactly what I am after, thanks! I guess I am just really upset about my ankle and how that is keeping me from excersizing. The combination of the excersize and the new WOE had made me feel so good I almost felt like I was high on something and I just want to keep up that momentum!

        Just because your ankle is out of commission doesn't mean the rest of your body is! You can still do upper body and ab exercises.

          I have a hernia at my belly button that I must get handled sometime this year and that keep me from doing too much upper body work because it aggravates it and starts hurting! Boo Hoo for me I am too broke down to excersize!
