  • Not really a newbie

I was active on this forum.... wow, 5 and a half years ago.

I lost 30 pounds on Atkins and felt fantastic. Then I fell off the wagon.

So now i'm back on the wagon, at my highest weight ever: roughly 240 pounds. I should ideally weigh 100 pounds less.

My biggest problems are bread and sweets, so I figure a strict 2 week induction (if not longer) will do me good and hopefully kill those cravings.

If they get unbearable, are there any concoctions you guys have found to help kill them? Besides WATER WATER WATER.

      Welcome back Moon Liz

I would suggest a high fat snack rather than making something sweet as that only keeps feeding your sugar monster . By not eating 'sweet' you can try to kill him instead Some people find a sour snack like an unsweetened pickle does the trick for them.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I Agree! When I pig out on the mock danishes, cheesecakes, and other "acceptable" sweets, my cravings DO NOT GO AWAY! Something fatty works for me. Green olives work, but watch the sodium. You must approach your sugar addiction the same as with alcohol; abstinence. Good luck!
