I have done Atkins before and succeeded and have tried a couple times in the last year or 2 and blew it both times. I'm nervous but trying to stay optimisitic! I really need to take off about 20 pounds. My eating is out of control and all of it is plummeting my self esteem into the toilette. I want this to work. I really do.

Re: Tomorrow I begin Induction
Welcome back..... I am sure that you will succeed this time. You should really think back to the times that you tried and failed. You should do this to pinpoint the circumstances of your failure. Once you have recognized the circumstances, you can eliminate them. It could be something as simple as planning your meals in advance and keeping them with you at all times. I know that I do not yet have the willpower to find my way without a "map". It is also important to your success that you actually do Atkins. Induction forever is not Atkins. Two weeks then move on to OWL. Also (as it says in the book) if you are not exercising, you are not doing Atkins. COme and see us often. Coming here has helped me stay motivated. Good Luck!

Re: Tomorrow I begin Induction
Welcome Jen -- you made a wonderful decision to restart Atkins. You've done it before, you know it works you'll do fine. I understand about eating being out of control - I was there. I spend most of my day trying to figure out what to eat next - or just looking down and seeing something in front of me again. I was eating and not even realizing it - that's when I had to do something.
Keep on track and you'll be at goal before you know it. I'll watch for your progress!!
