I am on Day 4 of my induction diet and did really well until Dinner time. I had steak & eggs for breakfast also a one hour workout in the gym, Chefs Salad for lunch w/blue cheese, and for dinner I had a small salad and a nice size piece of prime rib. BUT, I also had two low carb beers with dinner. Is this really going to screw up my induction diet? I totally forgot about the no alchol rule.

Main trouble with booze is you burn off the alcohol instead of fat - so all it will do is halt your progress until the alcohol is burnt off. Should be back to fat burning in the morning tho

Hi BusyDad,
Your dinner sounds great except for the beer - Remember, beer & wine have the same amount of alcohol as a one shot (ounce) of any hard liqueur. The only difference is the volume. So regardless of whether it's 80% volume for a vodka on the rocks or 12% volume for a glass of wine or a beer your body gets the same dose of alcohol.
Did you really do damage? naaa...do you have bypass the beer from now on? you bet you do.
My two carbs are stick with water, add some lemon if you like. But nix the beer from this point on.

You've gotten some good advice. Alcoholic beverages, in moderation, can be reintroduced during the OWL phase.

Have a Great Day
One thing a person needs to get into the habit of is asking themselves if they can have something before they eat it.
I have a whole lot of years of eating whatever/whenever I wanted and it brought my world to a screeching halt when I started Atkins having to question everything I ate.
When in doubt, don't eat/drink it. :yes
