That isnt induction friendly..Maybe one made with brocolli & bacon grease,j/k,but seriously you need to have a decent breakfast.I eat usually 1 ,but sometimes 2 fried eggs, lightly sprinkled with shreaded cheese.Keep some snacks on hand too.I keep a tub of pork rinds in my work van & chicken wings to me are always a treat..

I agree..no fruits on induction. Are you wanting a smoothie because it's quick and easy to make or because you're craving one?

          Well, both.....................

I commute 1 hour each way to/from work

So, the mornings are the most difficult as I don't do eggs in the morning.... so I'm eating pork skins and cucumbers..... not so great and I think that's why I've gotten bored before.

I just tried some of the pumpkin/cream cheese mixture stuff, can't remember the recipe or the name, but it tasted pretty good, so it may work in the mornings.....

I've eaten oatmeal for breakfast for a while and really missing that warm breakfast in a cup.....

now, weekends are a different story......... eggs are fine....

But, I am looking forward to a smoothie later on

Re: Hello........ I'm so needing help

How about egg creams. Even people who do not like eggs tend to like these. Some people make them with raw eggs (but there is always that salmonella risk). Using egg beaters is a good alternative.

Here is a basic recipe from sugar free Sheila

                3-oz. cube cream cheese
                ½ cup
Eggbeaters (I like the ones "With Yolk" - use raw
                eggs at your own risk.)
                ¼ cup heavy cream
                1 T DaVinci's or Atkins syrup - any flavor!
                4 ice cubes

I like mine with some decaf (I freeze decaf for this purpose) and vanilla. If you do not have the syrup you can use another sweetener.

Re: Hello........ I'm so needing help

Atkins used to sell syrups. Sheila has not updated her recipe to reflect the fact that they do not any more. DaVinci sugar free syrups are quite available. Some walmarts sell them (in their coffee isles). But as I said no need for syrup. You can use Splenda or Stevia and flavour it with some vanilla. Egg creams are very versatile things. (And somewhat addictive )

Also... don't forget that you're early on the plan - 3 days. You're definitely going to feel zonked throughout your days, probably until about day 5 or so (at the longest). Soon enough you'll find that if you eat a good breakfast you'll be fine (as in not hungry) until lunch time. And, best of all, you'll have great energy and you'll feel clear headed. We all do!!

As for breakfast - I often have left over dinner from the night before.

BUT... be sure to eat a good size breaky! Pork skins and cucumber sound like snacks to me and wouldn't fill me up!!! Try something with fat in it. Someone mentioned tuna... the night before mix a tin of tuna with mayo... and don't hesitate to eat the whole tin for breakfast! That'll fill you up until lunch!!

                      Good luck

As long as you stick to the maximum of 3 servings of sweetener a day you should be fine.

However if you know you have a sweet tooth it might be worth trying to kill your sugar monster by not feeding it with 'sweet'

Having had no sweeteners on induction I find that even some veggies taste sweet to me
