Steak and pork. The way my mother cooked these things (and the cuts she'd choose), you'd think that gristle was on the menu. My DH, however, is a whiz with beef and pork.

I think he's hoping to someday get me to like ham, but for now I'll stick with the "other white meat" rather than the uber-sweet taste of a cooked ham :tounge

Eggs prolly for me. I never really cared that much for them cuz they usually made me nausious when I ate them, but now I find I have to limit myself how much I eat, I could eat like 10 a day - especially hard boiled mixed with some cream cheese...mmm...

*PORK RINDS!! With anything and everything on them. My new treat is a few pork rinds with cinnamon and splenda on them. I never would have thought of eating that before Atkins, but they are soo yummy. I have made microwave nachos with them and always use them to scoop up tuna salad. They are also good with some dip made with cream cheese, cream, and chopped olives and celery.
*Eggs - I used to not be able to eat eggs more than once every few weeks. It's not that I didn't like them, I think it had something to do with the thought of making my cholesterol even higher than it allready is...but now I eat them almost every morning and love them!
*Splenda - I used to be a nay-sayer when it came to artificial sweeteners. I didn't like the taste of them and I was concerned about side effects that might come with using them. Now sugar would probably be too sweet for me.

Cooked spinach. I had only eaten it raw in salads before. And I had never even heard of flax and now have it in some form every day.

Cauliflower! I would never eat it before Atkins, and I was leery of making "fauxtatoes" the first time. Now they're a treat! I also love Linda Sue's Just Like Twice-Baked Potatoes (made with cauliflower, of course!).

Was just about to post a new topic about something similar.

I learnt how to make broccoli today and i cant stop eating them. Who would have thought that i would be eating broccoli.

cheese cake is another on i never really understood the concept of cheese in cake infact it grossed me out. I now absolutely love it.

THe BIGGEST change for me is not so much what im eating but what im drinking WATER!!! I was brought up on juice and pop(soda) so water was a whole new concept. I found it so tasteless now i can drink 100 fl. oz with no problems.

                      BRUSSELL SPROUTS

BEFORE I STARTED THIS WOE/WOL I HAD NEVER IN MY LIFE TOUCHED A BRUSSELL SPROUT. ON MY LAST TRIP TO THE GROCERY STORE I PURCHASED A 1LB BAG OF THEM. TO MY SURPRISE THEY KIND OF REMINDED ME OF BABY CABBAGE, AND I LOVE CABBAGE. SO NOW I HAVE A NEW GREEN VEGGIE TO ENJOY FOR THE DURATION OF INDUCTION.
