How long should one be at the same weight before deciding they are stalling?

I have been at the same weight for a week. I should mention this is my 14th day on induction.

    Thanks.

    Re: Stalling?

A stall is 4 weeks. You are nowhere close. A slow down is normal between weeks 3-5 for most people. You may want to post a sample menu so people can look at it for you. I found my lack of appetite caused me to go into starvation mode because I just forgot to eat. Have faith, even if you aren't noticing results on the scale, you are probably losing inches. Inches is probably a more accurate measure of how you are doing anyway. I tried buying a new scale, but it still gave me the same reading as the old one.

Have you worked out what sort of metabolic resistance to weight loss your 14-day induction loss represents? The chart is in chapter 13 of DANDR.

            Great

Do you take measurements (waist/hips/bust/thighs/wrist/ankle etc)?

Seeing them diminish often helps confirm our losses even if those pesky scales refuse to

              Re: Stalling?

I just did my measurements today. Both my calves got larger. I lost 1/2 inch off my waist, and an inch off my hips.
I am worried I just measured wrong. How am I an entire inch smaller around my hips with no weight loss?

Are you like days away from TOM? Then you might be retaining water in your legs... hence the "larger" calves and the lack of weight loss.

You know I called this "hesitation: the end of Induction Stall as it just about happened to all of us. This is when trying on those tight jeans that you had to lay down on the bed to snap and zip now come into play. You try them on and OMG there is room to breath now.

                    Your doing great.

                      Re: Stalling?

I only lost weight the first week. I am on day 2 of the 3rd week.

Edit: I had not lost anything from the 16th-23th and now it is the 25th and I still haven't lost anything more.
Edit #2: and! I just looked at my measurements again... I haven't lost an inch off of my hips! What is going on? How long should I continue without seeing results?

                        Re: Stalling?

I lost 7lbs during the first 4 days of induction, then it look me until day 16 to see 2 more lbs go...unfortunately, it just takes time. I wish you would have done your measurements sooner, I've lost 12 total inches, which keeps me motivated more than the 9lbs loss in 3 weeks.

                          Re: Stalling?

I was just getting ready to post this question when I saw this post. I am on day 26 (I have been continuing induction). I was on a constant .5 to 1 pound loss per day for a few weeks. I have remained at the same weight for 4 days now. Is this normal? Is my body just adjusting to the new weight? I am still very well in ketosis and I have not been cheating or have added anything new to my diet.

                          Thanks all!
