  • When will I lose?

    Hi there
    I am just about on my 15th day of induction. And the reason I say 15th day is that I have not lost 1 lb. I am following the plan to a tee and am a bit confused as to why there are no results? I just turned 50 and want to lose about 25lbs if that info helps at all.
    I would love to hear from others who had this happen as well but are now losing and how long does it actually take when it starts out so slow
    .

      Have you lost any inches? Dr Atkins considered the loss of inches were proof of losing fat

      Often we lose them while our weight stays the same or even increases.

      We have had members who lost nothing on induction but saw other benefits of eating Atkins, so persevered and lost their excess weight in OWL.
      Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

        Actually I posted my menu on another thread and was told I had some hidden sugars in my diet. So yes I did get some helpfull tips. I also read about throwing out the scale and that you can lose many inches but still weigh the same. I may feel a bit smaller in my clothing but not really enough to be convincing. Or it may be just wishfull thinking. Either way it is not enough to definately say yes I am losing inches. I think I would notice it more if I were. So I will make a few changes in the foods that I thought were ok and see if it helps.
