Re: Sorry to be a Downer...

    An update!
I took the advice of everyone here and I'm back on the wagon again. In the two weeks since I wrote this I've lost 8 pounds and I feel in control. Everyday is a process of learning about myself and challenging myself to continue, but I'm doing it and that's all that matters right now! Thanks everyone!

        Hi Newsie,

It's great that you have lost 8Lbs well done. However , I don't know if the Coffee Mate you have in the States is the same as ours but one of the biggest ingredients in it is SUGAR AKA anything ending in OSE.

Could you not just have a couple of teaspoons of proper cream instead?

Anyway well done on your weight loss and I hope you are never ever ever going near a bloomin mcdonalds double cheeseburger pattie again.

        Ciao xx

        Coffee Mate ingredients are:
Glucose Syrup, Hydrogenated vegetable fat, Acidity Regulators (E331, E340, E452), Milk Proteins, Emulsifiers (E471, E472e), Colour (E101).

Re: Sorry to be a Downer...

I would also recommend not going to MCD's period....even if you get a burger, but do not eat the bun. I see a ton of people doing that and do not understand why. This WOE is not just to follow the rules, but to learn how to make better food choices in general and MCD's is not and never will be a good food choice, even if you eliminate the carbs. Also, I see it as being a comfort for some, they think hey I can still have fastfood, this is not that hard....all that does is reestablish the habit of eatting at an unhealthy place. Planning is key on this WOE, fast food should be a last resort. Just my two cents.
