  • I have still more questions . . .

OK, I agree to post my weight an this board (something I haven't told my closest friends). You have no idea what a big step for me that is. So many of you are willing to do it, so I'll give it a shot.

I'm on day 12 and in three days I'm going to move on to OWL since I have done well (10 punds so far) on Induction. I have posted before that I hate vegetables, and I have to force myself to eat the veggies I do eat. I think I'll try rung 2, then move up the rungs in the correct order. :confused

I want your advice, but please don't yell at me. I've read (and am reading) the book. I just don't want to add more vegetable that I don't want to eat. :sadblinky

    :hug
Good for you for posting your weight, and good for you for sticking to Induction!
I'm glad to hear you are thinking this out and planning your next steps.

Remember you can stay on Induction for a while, if you are content to, but by all means move on if you feel you are ready.

Now, I'm hearing that you don't like vegetables, (and I'm not yelling at you here, ok? :hug ) but by now you've seen how important veggies are in the grand scheme of things by the messages you've read on the board and the info available in DANDR.

It's time to make a decision about your committment to your future health and your weightloss. You've done part of it by starting Atkins :joy , and another very important part is to expand your horizons and push some of your boundaries in a mature, organized way.

I encourage you to get out the veggie list, and work your way down it, one veggie at a time, and just give each a try. Every time you look up a recipe, or ask about how to prepare a new-to-you veggie is one more step in your journey, an investment in your future health and well-being.

Meanwhile, make sure you are eating the proper amounts of the veggies that you do enjoy.

One of the biggest reasons why people cheat is boredom from the foods they are eating, and that's also a reason why we encourage folks to expand their veggie horizons. :yes

I want you to succeed at this, and I know from personal experience over the last year that I've had to make changes that I wasn't particularly happy to make, but now that I see the result of those changes, it's all worth it, and I'm a better person for it. I just want that for you, ok?

    Take care!

Gald you are out of the weight closet :hug come join the CC club and the TDL exercise challenge too while you are out we don't bite well, diva pinches,

Do you like the 1 cup list foods like pumpkins? you can add more of that yum low carb crustless pumpkin pie for breakfast.

you can boil the radishes and they lose the radish taste and then use them like tators in salad and hash browns

Very few of us got fat eatting veggies and the Atkins program is all about eating your veggies. At goal you will be eating 6-8 cups a day! keep trying them it takes 5 or more times for a kid to like a new food so don't chat yourself by trying it once. Make some soup and add sme veggies to it purree some and add it to your meatloaf fix some tomato suace and creat chillie, spagetti use that spaghetti or zuchinni aquashes as the noodles, or even pizza sauce. you can do this and it is the only way you will get the pounds off and keep them off!

5 additional net carbs of veggies are easy to sneak into foods.

Making meatloaf? add onions to it. 1/2 cup of onion is 5 net carbs.

Making an omelette, add chopped veggies to it.

Want a gravy for that roast beef? Add a chopped onion and a few ribs of the chopped celery to the roast during the last hour of cooking time. When the roast is done, remove the meat and scrape the vegetable pieces and pan juice into a food processor. Puree the panjuice and the vegetables until smooth---this puree is a tasty, smooth gravy.
