  • end of second week induction

    hiya guys,

Well I was hoping to be jumpimg up & down having lost a lot of weight, especially as I have a lot to lose, but I haven't lost anything this week at all I lost 6 lbs the first week which was good, but probably just water, and was kind of hoping to do the same this week but nope! Oh well. I know I shouldn't, but I feel really despondent, especially reading other posts from people with lots of weight to lose losing anything up to 15Lbs in the two weeks. I am going to stay on Induction for a bit longer, probably until my Birthday March 1st and not weigh myself until then, I do feel like I have got caught up with the scales again!! NOT GOOD.

Dosen't help that work is REALLY stressful right now, but at least I haven't cheated on myself by cheating on my new way of eating which is an acheivement in itself I guess. Anyway back to the grindstone I suppose.

    Ciao xx

Re: end of second week induction

you can expect to lose between 5-10% of the weight you need to lose during Induction. So if you have a 10 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound. If you have a 100 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 5-10 pounds.

So I think your 6 pound lose is Great!

Also, make friends with your measuring tape. Dr. Atkins said the loss of inches is a better measure of losing fat than scale weight. That's because the loss of inches represents the fat emptying from your body.

The folks who lost 15 and 20 pounds usually have a 100 pounds or more to lose. This is a great diet but you have to take one day at a time.

Then you are definitely on target with the 6 pound loss and shouldn't be discouraged at all!
