Im going shopping right now and i was wondering if pickles, pickled tomatoes were ok during induction? I know pickles have 0 carbs... is that ok? even if there is a lot of sodium..?

Sugar has many different names. If you check out the stickie above called "Carb counts, sguar, etc." it contains a partial list of the sugar aliases.
The other thing you should look out for in terms of ingredients are illegal ingredients, like the higher carb veggies or fruit.

Sugar is pretty much the only real no-no...I can't for the life think of anything that you'd put in a pickle jar that you'd need to be wary of.
Of course you will have to count your carbs for the pickled veggies, and I'm figuring they should have the same # of carbs as they would have if raw...but check the jars for carb count when in doubt.
What kind of pickled veggies do you like? I haven't eaten many myself, and they sound good! My mom used to do carrots up as dill pickles (not that I could have them now, mind you) and green beans were good done that way as well.

when i was at the food store today.. i looked at a jar of pickeled green tomatoes... for one whole tomatoe it had 2 carbs... I didn't get them tho because i knew if i got them, i would eat the whole jar cuz i just love it so much.. There is also pickeled peppers... I didn't look too long cuz i needed to get away befoore i baught the whole store... instead i got string cheese and pepperoni's
Im starting induction all over tommarro because I hate atkins advantage bars throughout the weeek, which is obviously a nono. I ordered the new book off e-bay, hope to get it soon, I was following the old version of atkins.
