  • Any suggestions?

Hello, My name is Alex and I am on day 4 of Atkins. I have been walking 2 miles a day with 20 min of lifting after I am done walking. Is there is anything else I should be doing that would help shed the pounds. Thanks!!!!

    Hi Alex

    Welcome to our ADBB family

I have moved this post into its own thread in the 14 day induction forum so it will be more visible.

Well done for adding cardio and weighlifting this early on your Atkins journey

Keeping to induction levels of carbs and eating only from the allowed list of foods should see great results I am sure
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Welcome to the board Alex. Good work on your exercise so far.

Its good that you are walking 2 miles a day, after a while you will notice how much easier it is and you will be able to cover more distance. May I ask you a question about your weight training? Are you working the same muscles each day whilst lifting? If you are, I would suggest that you rest that muscle group every other day, and concentrate on other muscles the "other" days. (I hope that makes sense).

Working the same muscles each day can be hard on your body. and giving that group of muscles a rest in the way I have mentioned above will help.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
