  • Fitday Accuracy?

Fitday shows 14 slices of pepperoni at 383 calories/36 g. fat. The package that the pepperoni came in says 14 slices are only 140 calories/10 g fat!

How do I know which one to rely on? urplequ:

Go by the package. You can customize the food in fitday to what is says on the package. I found that with pepperoni, the slices were much thicker on fit day than in the package I had, and that's what caused the discrepancy. Always check the measurements, they can be way off.

I agree, customize your fitday. At this point I pretty much only use their numbers for my veggies and meats. That doesn't include processed meats like coldcuts, etc. Once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze to do so and then you'll know that you're being as accurate as you can.

Even if the fitday entry is for the exact same brand and recipe of any processed foods you should go by the packet info, as companies vary their products depending on research and market forces regularly.
