    Hi Kiwifraise....

I admire your determination, but the recommendation here (UK) is not to begin any real exercise regime until after you six week post-natal check up - you've just given birth which takes a toll on your body, and you need to give yourself a chance to recover from that otherwise your efforts might be counter productive...

Until you are given the go-ahead by your healthcare provider, then why not focus on just working activity into your daily routine? Take the kids for a nice long walk - pushing that stroller is great all round exercise, or how about swimming with your older child while someone watches baby for you?

    Good luck...

(P.S You didn't say whether baby is BF or FF but if you are nursing then you should hold off doing Atkins until later as it is not a good idea for nursing moms.)

Once you are ready, I try to do jumping jacks in between reps of arm lifts or squats to get my heart rate up. You could do them while you are cooking/ anytime...

Well done for making the exercise oart of your Atkins, Kiwi I am sure it will help you firm up

Some members with small children have found that lifting them instead of using weights makes a good workout! They find that the baby enjoys the workout as much as they do as they are spending 'quality time' with them.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Have you tried just going on walks with baby in the stroller?

I know how you feel! I live in the Scottish Highlands - it's total white out out there this morning! Me and the wee man (9 months) will be spending the day in front of the fire!

Go to Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. and don't let the name of the site scare you!! I find it extremely helpful when I find an area I want to target. On the left side column of the page, click on exercises. Then click on the muscle group you want to work on. It'll give you floor exercises as well as exercises you could do at a gym but I use the floor exercises. They're great. They look so simple you'll think they couldn't possibly be effective, ah, but they are. The site is easy to use and very motivational. Click on transformations and then female transformations. I ignore much of their diet and supplement advice but the exercises info is straight forward and easy to follow. You'll like it!!!
