  • I cheated....

I had a slice of Pizza AND a cupcake today.
WHY? Is this going to ruin me. I just got off induction because I want to lose 60lbs and I only lost about 8 lbs in the two weeks of induction.
so, i moved on because I didnt feel like extended induction was going to do much more than what induction already had done.... confusing I know....

anyway...today I did great and then had PIZZA and a CUPCAKE.

I feel awful, mentally and physically and I'm beginning to wonder what this is going to do to my progress. I plan jumping right back on this instant.

maybe my body will give me a free pass and pretend it never happened? anyone have this experience?

Hey, don't beat your self up. Just get right back on the wagon. Let this be a lesson learned. Cheats usually set me back 1-2 weeks because I have a hard time getting back on track and then the time my body takes to get back into ketosis. Good luck.

ONLY 8 pounds is 13% of your pounds lost! Dr. Atkins said that a "normal" induction loss would range from 5-10% of total pounds to lose. It sounds like you were very successful on induction.

Perhaps once you get back into ketosis and your cravings have subsided, you should think about moving to OWL, where you will have more food choices, more freedom, and you will feel less deprived.
