    Hi everyone,

    I'm on day 7 of induction, and I've been rigorously exercising (kickboxing). I got on my Wii Fit last night out of curiousity, and I haven't budged a pound. In fact, the Wii said I'd GAINED 1 lb Is there something I should know about induction and exercise? Thanks!

    Relax, your doing fine. We just don't lose every day on this WOE, (way of eating) and you shouldn't expect it. At first you lose water weight, (its weight and it counts) but then your body starts to settle down and starts to shrink those nasty fat cells. Some of us lose weekly, others lose in spurts. I woke up one day after a long time with no weight loss, like 6 weeks and I dropped 5 pounds, the next week 5 more and then nothing for weeks.

      I think you should stay away from the scale for 14 days if you for not seeing the numbers move. But let's see... possible reasons for not losing...

      If you are not used to your current exercise routine, your muscles might be retaining water to recover. This will show some extra pounds on the scale.

      Are you eating something salty? You might be retaining water. Salty stuff also stalls some people (me included).

      Are you eating LC products -- bars, chocolates, shakes -- or anything that is not on the induction list?

      Are you eating three cups of veggies?

      Are you eating enough fat? You should aim for 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein.

      Are you drinking enough water? 64 oz is the minimum.

      Are you sure there are no hidden carbs in the foods you're eating? Check the ingredients in lunch meats, sausages, dressings, etc.

      Posting a menu in the 'Review my Menu' forum would be great. Then we can see if there's anything fishy in there.

        My mom taught me that " a watched pot NEVER boils ". Put the scale up high in your closet until the 14 days are up.
