  • sour cream!!

    ok-so, another question..

sour cream (2 tbsp) is on the acceptable foods list for induction..

but every sour cream I pick up at the store has atleast 1 gram of sugar in it!

Is this allowed? I cant find any that doesnt have a gram of sugar and it's driving me nuts, cuz I want some!

    Re: sour cream!!

All foods except fats (oils) and meats have some sugar. This is sugar naturally occurring in foods. You can find in everything, from broccoli to cheese. The sugar listed in sour cream is lactose (milk sugar) and is impossible to get rid of it since sour cream is a diary product. It's not the naturally occurring sugar you have to worry about, but the added one (e.g. dextrose in lunch meat).
