Re: Mayo
Yes!! Just make sure you're not using a sugary brand if you're buying it at the store. I use Hellman's. It hasn't been a problem for me. I know others here who also use that brand. Do measure how much you're using. On a normal day I use 2 tablespoons in tuna salad or egg salad. It does help you increase your fat which helps with weight loss for me.

Re: Mayo
Dr Atkins saysI don't think any mayo's on sale in UK are made with no added sugar so though many of us do use them they are not 'strictly' allowed on Atkins. For salad dressing use oil and vinegar (but not balsamic vinegar, which contains sugar) or lemon juice and herbs and spices. Prepared salad dressings without added sugar and no more than two carbs per tablespoon serving are also fine.
It is fairly easy to make your own with no added sugar if the commercial dressings affect your losing.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Mayo
Hi,
I found a great sugar free mayonnaise from a company called "pollen Organics", I bought some when visiting my friends in Hampshire, I must admit I don't remember seeing it any supermarkets or health food shops but it is definately available and is yummy

Re: Mayo
Sugar free mayo yay! I've been using Hellmans and always felt guilty it contained a bit of sugar. I googled the name and found a company that stocks "Pollen Organics" mayo. It's £2.49 for a 300g jar. Delivery is £2.95 or free if order is over £13.95. They have some really nice stuff including gluten, wheat and sugar free items. I might order a few herbs to go along with my mayo. Re: Mayo
I use Hellman's and because the sugar is so low I don't worry about it. If you use a generic check your labels. Good luck.
Since you are just starting out here is a little tip that might help...
When I first started I would take ham, turkey or roast beef, roll it up and dunk it in Hellman's as something to get me through between meals....or a stalk of celery and full it with cream cheese....try them - it's a great snack - fills you up and tastes great!! Also makes an easy lunch on the go.

Re: Mayo
Thanks for all the info. Feeling such a newbie on this diet and realised how differently (badly?) I did it the first time. Such a supportive site here, all this experience is so helpful.
I only needed a bit for a recipe but I'll have a look at these. Thanks Imagood1 for the tip on using it as a dip, will give it a try.
