  • I fell off the wagon...HELP...

I made it as far as day 7 and just had to have the snack size bag of nutter butter bites (24g carbs). This diet is killing me..although I have lost close to 10 pounds since I started so I know it works.

    MY MAIN ISSUES:

Need to be able to drink something besided water and RC Cola during the induction period. Any suggestions?

Need to snack on snackfood besides Pork Rinds during the induction. Any suggestions?

Post some of your menus, especially what you ate before you HAD TO HAVE.
Snacks that I found that helped me were cheese crips. Melt cheddar or jack in the microwave until brown and crispy 2-3 minutes. Cream cheese in celery sticks with some smoked salmon. Hot wings with ranch dressing. Try to include a protein with your snacks as that often helps.
Water with lemon slice. Ice Water and a straw. Water with a cucumber slice. Really, once you get all the water down, there is little room for anything els.
Happy low-carbing to you. We can do this

Don't beat yourself up over the nutter butters, there's no use in it, what's done is done. Just go from here and remember that cheating dissapoints you so you don't do it again.
I feel your pain with the beverage limitation! A lot of people drink diet rite. You can make your own lemonade with splenda and a little lemon juice. I like to make large batches of herbal tea and ice it. Crystal light also makes carb free drink mixes, make sure to get the kind made with splenda though, not aspartame.
As far as snacks go, I can vouch for the cheese crisps! Not only are they good alone, but they are even better than croutons on a salad. You can also do the same thing with pepperoni. My latest thing is Mount Olive no sugar added bread and butter pickles. They are made with splenda, so they are legal. Many people like flax crackers as well, the recipe can be found in the recipe section of this forum.
      Good luck!

I don't know to much about how aspartme affects this diet, but I looove the new diet sprite drink called Zero ( no cals, no carbs,no sugar). Maybe that could be an alternative??

if you check the label and make sure there are no illegal ingredients then it would be fine. always read the label though. Also it won't count twords your water limit so just be aware.

Some of my favorite snackies are ham & cream cheese rollups, hard boiled eggs, mock danish if you need that sugar kick, cheese cubes, mushrooms sauteed in butter and garlic, and experiment! If something comes into your mind that might taste good and is induction friendly, try it out! You'd be surprised at how many combinations of food taste good together.

keep at it though, just keep going on with induction and throw away all the nutter butters and non-atkins friendly food stuff and you'll be just great

            we call it a cheat

            don't worry dear,

don't let it get you down, just keep on going as if nothing has happened, the weight will still come off. I don't weigh myself, but my body is changing. I've gone from a 1X down to a size 12, so I know it's working and I've fallen off the wagon many, many times. (I started 2nd week of Feb)

Just stick to it, kick the evil munchies away!!! ha
