    Re: Counting Carbs!

In UK our labels dont count fibre as being a carbohydrate and list them in a different part of the nutrition label, so take the 'total carb' number from UK-labelled food as being the same as what Dr Atkins called the 'carbs that count' which we often call 'net carbs'

Having said that, yes in DANDR we are told to not count fibre as being part of our 'up to 20 carbs' on induction.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I have been reading food labels, taking fibre from carb and using that figure as net. am I doing this all wrong?

        You might be

Here is a UK label - the fibre is listed in a different section from the carbohydrates so does not get deducted to find net carbs.

Here is a USA label where the fiber is listed among the carbohydrates so it has to be deducted to get net carbs.
