I am on my 6th day and I just cheated. I had some cookies and ice cream I was not going to cheat but I was weak. I was wondering can I continue on the 14 day induction or do I have to start over?

Re: I messed up bad.
Sorry you messed up, but you are certainly not the only one who has done so!!!
My opinion... since the whole purpose of induction is to bring your insulin responses under control, detox you from the effects of too many carbohydrates, and bring your cravings under control, you will be better off starting over.
Check the recipe section for ideas to help when you get the urge to binge on sweets. Even a simple mixture of cream cheese, vanilla extract and Splenda can get you through some tough times until the cravings go away.
And they will.

As sunnyone said, planning to have 'legal' foods and snacks available will help you through any cravings that result from your offplan choices.
however in my opinion you do not have to start recounting your 14 days unless you ate offplan for a few days rather than one instance.
This is because you have probably already lost your 'water weight' and some fat and so your results from the next 14 days if you do decide to restart countign your 14 days from now are unlikely to represent your true metabolic resistance to weightloss according to the chart in DANDR.
So if yesterday was day 5 then today is day 6 and tomorrow will be day 7.
Just bear in mind when you do look at the chart in DANDR after your first 14 days that the number of pounds lost is likely to be smaller than it would have been without the cookies and ice cream and so slightly skew the result.
Now - the next thing you need to do (apart from the obvious one of getting back on plan the very next bite
) is to work out why you decided to eat off-plan and devise a strategy for not doing that the next time
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
