  • had my 1st cheat in two weeks :(

    so i have PMS and viscous cravings and i cheated for the first time since i started (again) two weeks ago. i have lost 10 pds and im so scared im going to gain it back! i had chocolate chip cookies and some ritz crackers. i just felt so discourage b/c i was so bloated anyway from PMS and i just gave in
    im getting right back on b/c this is so important to me to lose weight. do you think i will gain a lot from this cheat? i started the day on atkins and had a (bunless) cheeseburger with onions and some sugar free jello. i have just majorly overeaten today and i feel so bad about it. i feel have to "repent" on this board lol .

    You're going to be okay....just remember the guilt!! Continue on...doubt you'll gain much. I'd wait a week to weigh again. Weighing anytime soon will just make you feel worse. I had cravings and hunger like crazy last time with ToM and I filled up on cucumbers and celery. It's really hard to go overboard with veggies...do that next time! If you don't learn anything from your cheat, then nothing good can come from it. Really think about what led you to it and how you're going to deal with it next time. That's the whole point of the lesson. When you're craving sugar or sweets, eat a dill pickle. It works.

      thanks, 'EVER'. my day to weigh myself is fridays so hopefully i will be ok by then, but you are right--if i weigh myself too often i just get discouraged and want to give up. i dont own a scale so i just use my mom's ever week.
      i will try to the pickle thing next time.
      i felt so sick (physically) after i ate all those cookies,i actually started craving my 'legal' food again shortly after. I cant wait to get back on the wagon. thanks for your input!

        You know, it may have been the jello. Start a food journal and see if you have more cravings after you eat jello. Induction is a good time to learn how our bodies respond to food.
        Anyway, don't kick yourself to hard, just jump back on board.
