  • 1st week survival

...and I've done it and enjoyed it. I've lost 5lbs Bad habit has been weighing too often for motivation and was cross when weight went up a whole pound mid week but it's gone now.
For me, I find breakfast ideas hard but there are so many ideas here. I cook my main meal at lunch as I'm home on maternity leave at the moment. Evenings, after all that water drinking, I only need a light meal like scarmbled eggs.
This weekend we went out for 2 meals, felt weird asking for no potatoes or gravy. Really have to study the menu so things like bread or a side of baked beans can be replaced for greens. Went to a coffee shop and had nothing with my tea so had to stop at a supermarket to get nuts to nibble. So far, eating at home and controlled is easier. Going out needs to be managed more carefully while I am still getting used to the allowable foods.
I might introduce light exercise for this next week so I can start a routine. There is so much inspiration and ideas on these boards so I'll keep popping in and keep to the plan.

Well done wenglish good job. Don't get into the habit of nuts though, as they are not allowed on induction! Next time, instead of nuts try a packet of ready cooked prawns ( not frozen obviously ) much tastier & completely induction legal.

        Keep up the good work

        Ciao xx

I was lucky when I started Atkins because I have always asked for no gravy with foods at restaurants, so it felt normal for me.
My family always laughed at my 'no gravy and no custard' eating habits which was because I hated food that had been 'drowned'
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Make sure you eat at least 3 meals. Don't want starvation mode to kick in

Great idea about the shrimp (prawns) - can we have the shrimp sauce that goes with it? S-

                    Cheers everyone!
Unfortunately I dislike shrimps but eat all other fish, well except prawns too. Happy to nibble at cheese and dipping meat in mayo.
